So my final assignment for my design class was to make three pages of a themed alphabet book and I was like, oh, I'll do kickass ladies from film and television. And then I was sick all semester (actually the sick part came first and continued after but anyway). My professor, being the understanding, kind soul she is, deferred my grade so I could finish the project over the summer when I didn't feel like death.
I sketched and inked Amy traditionally, colored her digitally, printed her, cut her out, cut out an A, painted it orange, took a piece of handmade paper, paint splattered it, and assembled it all together. Voila. An image that is very confusing to find a deviantart category for is born. This scanned image is a bit bigger than the physical copy I'm turning-in-once-I-actually-glue-the-pieces together, so you can see maybe a bit of white where my exacto knife skills failed on the small scale. Boo. Also my scanner is WEIRD about colors, man. Had to fiddle a good bit to get it looking about right. And her freckles weren't dark enough to show up on the print, so I'm debating going back and adding them in by hand.
I'll probably upload my other two pages in the next couple days. L for Lois Lane is next.
